Meet a CSGer: Brad

Brad is a man of mystery. Or at least, he was! But CSG’s resident king of the one-liners reveals untold knowledge below. It’s Brad on Brad, get into it!

WFAnywhere

As coworkers and clients can attest, my background on Zoom seems to change every three to four months. My wife is a physical therapist who is currently working as a Travel PT so we’ve swapped out our Denver apartment for some great locations. From a beach town on the Oregon coast to a beer lovers paradise in Asheville and a quintessential summer in New England, the remote life has treated us well.

Cook this Book

If you didn’t make your own sourdough starter in 2020 can you really say you lived through the pandemic? To kick my very mild cooking hobby into overdrive, I went full-on Julie & Julia on Molly Baz’s Cook This Book and am taking the title to heart by cooking every recipe. Outside of the occasional charred lamb chop and mini kitchen fire most recipes have been real winners.

AmeriCorps

In another life, middle school youths called me “Mr. Krebs”, I ran the best game of capture the flag this side of the Mississippi and was good to emcee at least one rap battle in any class I subbed. After college, I moved to Seattle to serve in AmeriCorps to live with 14 other 22-year-olds and teach kids. It was amazing in every way and an experience I’ll always cherish.

STL

When Nelly said “I’m from the Lou and I’m proud”, I felt that. I was born and raised in the Gateway to the West and love a good chance to go back and visit. I’ll always call Panera “Bread Co.”, will fight to the death with anyone who disrespects Imos and will always say “you know the waffle cone was invented in St. Louis at the World’s Fair, right?” whenever I see anyone eating a waffle cone. And for anyone who is from the Lou, I went to De Smet.

Road Tripping

I love a good road trip. The open road. A perfectly curated playlist. A bag of Gardetto’s. Weird gas stations that sell t-shirts with quotes on them. What could be better? Whether it's a quick weekend trip or a cross-country caravan, I’m always down for a ride along.
