Go Ahead, Invite Us: We’ve Got Excuses Not to Come
If your social calendar seems busier than usual right now, you’re not alone. There’s always an influx of invites this time of year to hang out, grill out and chill out with family and friends.
While that’s great if you’re in the mood, many CSGers are self-described introverts and have mastered the ‘Art of the Out’ to avoid being social. Or at least we think.
Here are some of CSGers best excuses to bail on summer fun and activities:
“The top reason to have kids is to have built-in excuses to ditch social gatherings.” — Shannon
“Pink eye, AGAIN.” — Tammy
“Oh, I have to feed my dog at that time.” — Maranda
“My dog destroys the house any time I'm gone for more than an hour.” — Emily
“Sorry I can't, my legs are broken.” — Courtney
“Kids — but it gets harder when they say ‘bring em!’” — Stephanie
“I’m embracing my I don’t have to tell you why era. Sorry, I can't make it! Have fun!” — Kayla
"Smoke and meats makes me think of the inevitability of death, so no thanks!" — Daniela
Now, you know our go-to outs — don’t be mad if we drop ’em post invites. Can you blame us? The end of summer is busy. 🥳
