Meet a CSGer: Pengle

Star social strategist and avid athlete — that’s our Peter Pengle! Want to find out why he quit his job in Texas (it was true love), who his boarder buddy is, and what’s on his bucket list? Read on!

The Mountains Made Me Do It

Snowboarding is my favorite thing to do. It’s what I am doing most weekends in the Winter and Spring. It’s what made me quit my job in Texas and move to Denver with no plan besides being in the mountains as much as possible.

Burley, My Border Boarder

My dog Burley is a 6 year old Border Collie who keeps me active. He never seems to get tired and loves snowboarding maybe more than me. He has skied 14ers, with me, sprinting down after me at incredible speeds for a dog in snow.

Going the Distance

This past year I had the opportunity to run the Chicago marathon with my older brother, raising money for a charity that is near and dear to me, WorldVision. It was not an easy race, but we both survived and got to check that off the bucket list.

Second City No More

I grew up playing baseball and that continues to be my favorite sport to watch. I blew out my knee and shoulder in high school, but was fortunate enough to play ball in college. My favorite team is the Chicago White Sox and when they won the World Series in 2005 it was one of the happiest moments to date (I might have peaked too early…).

Yes, I’m in a Hobbit Hole.

I had the opportunity to travel to New Zealand with my college baseball team and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life! We played their junior national team, scrimaged local teams, and put on baseball camps for the local kids around Auckland, NZ. There are many new places I would like to visit, but I would go back to New Zealand in a heartbeat.
